Find My 1 Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to findmy1.com and related Find My 1 services. By creating an account, checking the agreement box, or using an account, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use protected areas of the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You may not create an account for another person without authorization or allow another person to use your credentials.

2. Purpose of the service

Find My 1 is a private, role-based research and organization service intended solely for legitimate shidduch purposes. It is not a public people-search service, background-check service, consumer-reporting agency, or substitute for direct family, rabbinic, reference, legal, medical, financial, or professional verification.

3. Accounts and roles

Members receive ordinary directory access after completing required registration and verification. Matchmaker, organization, employee, and administrator access may require approval and may include different permissions. Approval can be denied, limited, suspended, or withdrawn. You must not attempt to access a field, profile, document, account, or administrative function outside your assigned permissions.

4. Confidential and permitted use

You may view and use information only for a specific, legitimate shidduch purpose and only to the extent your role permits. You must protect personal information with care and may share it only with a person directly involved in that legitimate purpose and authorized to receive it.

5. Information you submit

You are responsible for information and documents you submit. You represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have permission or another lawful right to provide it for the service's shidduch purposes. If you submit information about another person, family, phone number, school, yeshiva, or organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so and that the disclosure does not violate confidentiality, privacy, contract, copyright, or other rights.

Do not submit street addresses, private documents, sensitive notes, or information about a minor unless the form permits it and you have the required authority. Do not submit information you know is false, outdated, defamatory, unlawfully obtained, or unrelated to a legitimate shidduch purpose.

6. Phone verification and consent

When you provide your own phone number and request a call-based feature, you authorize Find My 1 and its calling provider to place service-related automated or prerecorded verification calls to that number, subject to applicable law. You may revoke permission for future calls by contacting the team.

You may initiate verification for a profile number only if you are authorized to act for that profile and the called person has agreed to receive the call. A matching number or completed call does not give you ownership of unrelated information or permission to act outside the verified request. Misuse of verification may result in immediate suspension.

7. Profile claims, edits, and removals

Claims, edits, uploads, and removals may require phone verification or team review. Find My 1 may decline, reverse, or investigate a request when identity, authority, accuracy, or safety is uncertain. Administrators may preserve prior versions, audit history, and deleted-record information for security, restoration, dispute, and legal purposes. Report inaccurate or unauthorized information through the Contact page.

8. Matchmaker and organization responsibilities

Approved Matchmakers must treat additional fields, private resumes, and professional-access information as confidential and use them only for legitimate shidduch work. Organization users may manage only records assigned to their organization unless separately authorized. Organizations must have permission to upload lists and must review imported information for accuracy before submission.

9. Accuracy and verification

Profiles may be incomplete, outdated, imported, user-submitted, or incorrect. A verified badge means only that a specified verification step was completed; it is not a guarantee of identity, accuracy, availability, character, suitability, or outcome. You are responsible for independently verifying all information with families, references, schools, yeshivas, rabbinic authorities, or other appropriate sources before relying on it.

10. Private notes, lists, and documents

Private notes and lists are account tools and should contain only information you are legally permitted to store. Access controls reduce disclosure risk but cannot guarantee absolute secrecy. Private resumes and restricted documents may be viewed only by authorized roles and may be logged or watermarked. You may not remove a watermark or redistribute a restricted document.

11. Intellectual property

The service, design, software, organization, compilation, branding, and original content belong to Find My 1 or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. These Terms grant a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. They do not grant ownership of the service or permission to reproduce its database or protected content.

12. Service changes and availability

We may correct information, change permissions, review accounts, limit features, perform maintenance, or discontinue part of the service when reasonably necessary. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, a particular number of records, or that every request will be approved.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or preserve evidence when we reasonably believe an account violated these Terms, misused personal information, created security risk, infringed rights, or exposed another person to harm. You may request account closure through the Contact page. Obligations concerning confidentiality, restricted use, intellectual property, liability, and preserved audit records survive termination.

14. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." Find My 1 disclaims warranties of accuracy, completeness, currency, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any guaranteed shidduch result. Nothing on the service is professional advice. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Find My 1 and its team, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, reputation, opportunity, or profits; or harm arising from another user's conduct, inaccurate information, unauthorized sharing, or reliance on a profile. Any limitation applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law and does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

16. Responsibility for misuse

You are responsible for losses, claims, and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful submission, unauthorized disclosure, scraping, account sharing, infringement, or material breach of these Terms. This section does not require you to cover a loss caused by Find My 1's own unlawful conduct.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in a state or federal court with lawful jurisdiction in New York. Before filing a claim, either party may send a written description of the issue and allow 30 days for a good-faith attempt to resolve it.

18. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without permission. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any feature-specific notice are the entire agreement concerning the service unless a separate written agreement applies.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when the service or law changes. The revised version will show a new effective date. We will provide additional notice and request renewed agreement when required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
